Having worked internationally with horses, at a sales barn in the Netherlands and a show jumping yard in Ireland, Amber has a broad perspective of the horse industry. She has spent two winters in Florida, one in Wellington covering the dressage scene including the Winter Equestrian Festival, and one covering eventing in the Ocala area. Writing and photography have also taken her to numerous international competitions including the CHIO Aachen, the CHIO Rotterdam, the World Breeders Young Horse Championships in Verden, Germany and the European Eventing Championships and European Endurance Championships in Punchestown, Ireland.

In addition to competition coverage, Amber has written numerous profiles about professional dressage riders for www.horsesdaily.com. She is currently working on several contracts for Phelps Media Group of Wellington, FL. She is also a frequent contributor to www.eventingnews.com and www.eventingnewsusa.com.

Outside of the barn Amber enjoys experiencing new places in the US and abroad. Her travels have taken her to various parts of Europe and Asia, and recording her adventures in travel writing is part of the fun. She also likes exploring the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near her home, and returns to her native Northern California as often as she can to visit friends and family there.

She also enjoys photography, painting, spending time with friends and family and with her dog Tobi, and working on her family's farm.
